IT Failure Hits Manchester Airport

Today an IT failure resulted in many passengers being unable to check-in at Manchester Airport. The problems, which first occurred around 1130 local time cause major delays, with some passengers having to wait for more than three hours before being able to check in.

Speaking to the media a spokesman for Manchester Airport said, “We apologise to our passengers for the inconvenience.”

Some airlines resorted to manually checking in passengers and operations have now pretty much returned to normal following the airlines working through the backlog.
